INTRO
So small milestone this week, Ymir hit 20 subscribers! It took about a year to get to this point. I wish I'd hit faster, but I'm growing, and I'm grateful for that!
Overall, this was a really productive cycle. I had a lot of energy and wasn't feeling too worn out. I got a lot done on the product side as well as marketing side, which isn't always the case.
We'll discuss that in the sections below.
PRODUCT
You can always view the history of Ymir's product development at https://ymirapp.com/changelog.
This cycle I continued to work on the Ymir CLI. I implemented a lot of the left over quality of life changes. I added some new commands to export and import databases. I also added some other commands.
I think this will wrap up my focus on the Ymir CLI for now. I think this cycle will be more the runtime and plugin. But we'll see how it goes!
MARKETING
The main focus for the marketing week was videos. I hadn't tried making a video since I upgraded to an M1 MBP. And wow is it fast!

I went from having to spend 2h with an unusable computer to recording and having the video uploaded in less than 30 min. This makes it much more appealing to make videos. And this week, I did three:
I think I'll start recording a lot of the commands and just various programming things. I got a lot of good comments from doing the videos. And, like I said, it's painless to do them now.
I also started working on the next article. I'm aiming to publish it next marketing week.
BUSINESS
You can always view Ymir's up-to-date business metrics at ymirapp.com/open. They're updated every 10 minutes.
As I said, I hit 20 subscribers! Yay! Currently, I have one active trial. Pretty that one will convert so we should hit 21 subscribers next cycle.
I've had some more inbound interest. So maybe we get a new trial from that soon? We'll see.
Outside of that, the next milestone will be 1k MRR. I don't expect to hit it before April. And that's if nothing goes wrong lol

Heya friend! Carl here. You signed up to receive updates about Ymir, the WordPress serverless DevOps platform that I’m building. This isn't the hundredth report I was planning to write. I wrote my previous report so sure I was close to the finish line of moving off Vapor. I was so happy that I'd nail the timing. The title wrote itself, "Ymir Report #100 — Ymir on Ymir". (That's a lot of "Ymir" in the same sentence! 🤣) But life is nothing but full of irony. The day after I sent that report, my...
Heya friend! Carl here. You signed up to receive updates about Ymir, the WordPress serverless DevOps platform that I’m building. INTRO Been a little while since the last report! Unfortunately, not much has happened since the last update. I got a pretty nasty cold that knocked me out for more than a week. I then had to shift to consulting work to pay my bills. 😅 Following the consulting work, I flew out to Phoenix for PressConf. I'll talk more about it later. But Raquel created an exceptional...
Heya friend! Carl here. You signed up to receive updates about Ymir, the WordPress serverless DevOps platform that I’m building. INTRO This is the report I've been waiting to write for so long. Laravel support is finally here! I shipped the last part yesterday, which was the new CLI version. (You need version 2.1.0 to create a Laravel project.) This is an important milestone, but there's still work to do. The next phase is to migrate Ymir to Ymir. There's still some missing pieces for that to...
