INTRO

Heya!

It's been a week since I came back from WCUS. I think it was one of the best venues I've been to. I had a really great time, and it felt good to catch up with friends. A few parties showed a lot of interest around my consulting work. So that was good!

The whole mood of the conference was soured by Matt's Q&A session. Without rehashing the whole drama, Matt said things about WP Engine that were quite extreme. Since then, this has consumed the attention of a lot of the community.

At this point, I'm pretty tired of it. I'm just happy I didn't call Ymir something with WP in it. šŸ˜…

PRODUCT

You can always view the history of Ymir's product development at https://ymirapp.com/changelog.

Lots of consulting work in September on top of the travel. This limited my Ymir work. I did some bug fixing for the CLI and some internal fixing of my test suite.

With all the travel done until Cloudfest next year, I hope to spend some time on features now.

MARKETING

Quiet on the marketing front as well. I did a lot of networking at WCUS to plant some seeds with agencies. However, that takes time to grow and develop.

But speaking of seeds, I have one that's about to flourish! I hope to talk about it next update. But if all goes well, we want to apply to show the project off at the showcase day of WCUS next year!

BUSINESS

You can always view Ymir's up-to-date business metrics at ymirapp.com/open. They're updated every 10 minutes.

Business is stable at the moment. If all goes well, I should have a bit of growth in October. It's also the end of my fiscal year today, so it's time to work on taxes šŸ˜…

Heya friend! Carl here. You signed up to receive updates about Ymir, the WordPress serverless DevOps platform that I’m building. INTRO Looks like we're on more of a monthly cadence still šŸ˜… This is going to be a shorter update. October was busy, but I can't talk about it yet. I'll have a longer report after CloudFest USA. Because I was so busy with other things, I didn't get to work on Ymir itself much. That said, I did some really good marketing at WordCamp Canada! šŸ’Ŗ I was pretty exhausted...

Heya friend! Carl here. You signed up to receive updates about Ymir, the WordPress serverless DevOps platform that I’m building. INTRO So September has come and gone! It's been really busy, but not in a publicly visible way. There isn't much I can share or talk about yet so this will be a shorter update. For example, I'm working very hard on the Ymir CLI. But unfortunately, the technical debt there has really caught up to me. So a lot of the work is still ongoing, I'll talk about it a bit...

Heya friend! Carl here. You signed up to receive updates about Ymir, the WordPress serverless DevOps platform that I’m building. INTRO Fall is almost here! August has been super busy with a lot of work going on behind the scenes. I'm happy to say that Ymir now supports SQS queues. 🄳 The feature is live and documented in the configuration reference and change log. There isn't much else to do with it for now. I'm not adding SQS support for WordPress yet, so this is really for Laravel support....
