Ymir Report #76 ā WCUS & WPDrama
|
Heya friend! Carl here. You signed up to receive updates about Ymir, the WordPress serverless DevOps platform that Iām building. INTRO Heya! It's been a week since I came back from WCUS. I think it was one of the best venues I've been to. I had a really great time, and it felt good to catch up with friends. A few parties showed a lot of interest around my consulting work. So that was good! The whole mood of the conference was soured by Matt's Q&A session. Without rehashing the whole drama, Matt said things about WP Engine that were quite extreme. Since then, this has consumed the attention of a lot of the community. At this point, I'm pretty tired of it. I'm just happy I didn't call Ymir something with WP in it. š PRODUCT You can always view the history of Ymir's product development at https://ymirapp.com/changelog. Lots of consulting work in September on top of the travel. This limited my Ymir work. I did some bug fixing for the CLI and some internal fixing of my test suite. With all the travel done until Cloudfest next year, I hope to spend some time on features now. MARKETING Quiet on the marketing front as well. I did a lot of networking at WCUS to plant some seeds with agencies. However, that takes time to grow and develop. But speaking of seeds, I have one that's about to flourish! I hope to talk about it next update. But if all goes well, we want to apply to show the project off at the showcase day of WCUS next year! BUSINESS You can always view Ymir's up-to-date business metrics at ymirapp.com/open. They're updated every 10 minutes. Business is stable at the moment. If all goes well, I should have a bit of growth in October. It's also the end of my fiscal year today, so it's time to work on taxes š Carl |

Heya friend! Carl here. You signed up to receive updates about Ymir, the WordPress serverless DevOps platform that Iām building. INTRO Unless you've been hiding under a rock, I'm sure you're aware of the PHP security vulnerability that dropped last Wednesday! It was a stressful day for many people. For me, it wasn't so much. I'd been working on automating a lot of things with the runtime already so that AI could work autonomously on it. Once PHP released the versions with the fixes, my agents...
Heya friend! Carl here. You signed up to receive updates about Ymir, the WordPress serverless DevOps platform that Iām building. INTRO A bit late with the report. It was Canadian Thanksgiving on Monday! š¦ That said, it's been a busy two weeks! The redesign work continues. I shipped the new Ymir documentation site. There's only the blog left to do. I've also started working on the product again. I'm still in discussion around bringing in help with sales. PRODUCT You can always view the history...
Heya friend! Carl here. You signed up to receive updates about Ymir, the WordPress serverless DevOps platform that Iām building. INTRO Things have been moving a lot since the Jason podcast. I've been trying to maintain momentum since then. I'm grateful to AI because I'm juggling a lot of things right now. š I'd been working on a redesign for Ymir. That launched last week for the marketing site. I still have to do the blog and the documentation site. I'm still adding pages and fleshing things...
