Ymir Report #23 — Off for the holidays

Heya friend!

Carl here. You signed up to receive updates about Ymir, the WordPress serverless DevOps platform that I’m building.

INTRO

Happy holidays!

This is going to be a pretty short report. I'm taking some time off for the holidays. I might work a bit on Ymir, but it'll be by choice or to do support.

I plan on starting back on the second week of January. So it might be a month before the next report.

Otherwise, it's been a quiet cycle.

PRODUCT

You can always view the history of Ymir's product development at https://ymirapp.com/changelog.

I spent most of the cycle just wrapping up the work on the CloudFront cache invalidation. I had quite a few bugs with it and released some fixes throughout the week. But it seems to be working fine now! šŸ¤ž

MARKETING

I've been working on a huge CloudFront guide. It's done and ready to go! I decided that to hold off publishing it until next year.

BUSINESS

You can always view Ymir's up-to-date business metrics at ymirapp.com/open. They're updated every 10 minutes.

Business is continuing to grow this month. I've had a few trials. All, but one converted so far. There's one more left that converts on December 30th. If that works out, then I'll be at 17 subscribers :)

Heya friend! Carl here. You signed up to receive updates about Ymir, the WordPress serverless DevOps platform that I’m building. INTRO It would be a great story if I told you that now that this deal with BuiltFast changed my fortunes overnight! I never expected it to. So we're back to our regularly scheduled programming! 🤣 The months of negotiations were quite draining for me. I've spent some time trying to rest. But I've also had to do a lot of consulting work since that's still what pays my...

Heya friend! Carl here. You signed up to receive updates about Ymir, the WordPress serverless DevOps platform that I’m building. I licensed Ymir to a hosting company. These aren't words I would've ever expected to write a few months ago. It still doesn't feel real to me, if I'm honest. It doesn't matter that there's an actual press release. Or that there's a picture of me at CloudFest USA showing a new serverless ecosystem that didn't even exist two weeks ago. I keep thinking of the Hemingway...

Heya friend! Carl here. You signed up to receive updates about Ymir, the WordPress serverless DevOps platform that I’m building. INTRO Looks like we're on more of a monthly cadence still šŸ˜… This is going to be a shorter update. October was busy, but I can't talk about it yet. I'll have a longer report after CloudFest USA. Because I was so busy with other things, I didn't get to work on Ymir itself much. That said, I did some really good marketing at WordCamp Canada! šŸ’Ŗ I was pretty exhausted...
